The winners have been found.
All the teams can be proud of their performances and hard work during two fantastic days in Copenhagen. Children’s Climate Call really was big success.

The Climate Connections main competition was won by NXT Generation from Denmark who are now the happy owners of the Champions’ Award 2009 trophy.

LEGO Guards from California, USA, win Climate Actions with their research project  ”Forest Guard”. Their project is about reducing wildfires which let out huge amounts of CO2 every year. LEGO Guards want to install solar powered surveillance cameras to monitor forests. People from all over the world will be given the opportunity to select an image from one of the cameras as a screen saver on their computer.  They should then alert the emergency services if they detect that a fire has broken out.
The engineering company Niras as well as SONY will work on implementing this project in real life so keep an eye out for more in the coming months.
